Writing Assignment #1

The above photo makes me think of my family’s culture and roots.  This is an actual image of the mountains and scenery in Alberta, Canada (my home) and just makes me realize where I am from and that I am proud to be Canadian. I love waking up each morning and looking out my bedroom window at those mountains, even if I don't have such a up close and personal view, also in the winter even when it’s freezing cold out. This image reminds me to never forget whom I am or where I am from no matter where I end up in life and to cherish every moment you are given with family. I remember numerous family vacations travelling through those crazy winding uphill highways in the mountains and many times now I wish I could relive many of those experiences with my family and friends. Never take things such as family and friends for granted is how I look at it now being so far from home. This image is very inviting and brings back many memories for myself.
